Renee Horton's talents are as vast as she is beauiful.
Having done work as a professional back up dancer for Taylor Swift, to being a series regular on multiple series. Renee has appeared in music videos, billboards and magazines. She has also been a host and co- host for TV shows and red carpet events. She most recently interviewed some of the biggest film stars, as a tribute to Andrae Crouch, on the Red Carpet for the Movieguide Awards in LA.
Renee has had entertainment in her blood since she could walk, literally. "My Mom said I learned to walk by walking towards my reflection on TV... so I figured between that and being named for my favorite soap star on "Days of our Lives" my fate was sealed as an actress. It was either that or have a lot of drama in my life. I chose actress." Her mom, a choir director and vocal/piano coach allowed her the opportunity to perform in multiple productions and gave her a love for the arts. Renee grew up surrounded by music, theatre, and performing on stages. She excelled in companies and productions as a studied actress, dancer, singer winning her numerous awards. She was always the first person in the studio and the last to leave. This strong professional drive to be the best at what she does continues to drive her today. Renee's professionalism on set and her ability to take direction well has been noticed by Angie Harmon and other directors she has had the pleasure to work with.
Her first big film break was "Stockholm" directed by Angie Harmon. Angie discovered Renee when she saw her music video “Til my last Day” by Justin Moore. Renee has appeared in a variety of productions including everything from stage, music videos, television, hosting, and film. She also worked as a series regular in “Mafia Law” with John Schuck, and starred in “Young Blade,” “Nashville Notes,” and guest starred on the award-winning web-series “Johnny Dynamo” with Tiny Lister and Terry Kiser. She has enjoyed working with various acclaimed stars and directors throughout her career.
Her flexibility to travel has allowed her the opportunity to host shows on both sides of the country from "BBQuest" for GAC network in TN to red carpet events in LA...
Renee was selected to study Episodic TV acting with acting coach Bridget Berger, acting coach on the series "Nashville", whom she studied with until she moved to LA. Renee has also worked with Image consultant Suzanne Skinner, and branding coach David Perry.
She studied with both friend and casting director, Regina Moore, for TV and red carpet hosting.
Not only has Renee become a powerhouse in entertainment, she has also been a major contributor and a voice of inspiration to women everywhere. She's engaged in multiple philanthropic causes across the world, becoming a force on and off camera.
After facing her recent battle with both Lyme Disease and multiple concussions, she is excited to lend her voice to bring Hope, Awareness, Strength, and Change to others experiencing similar journeys. She is an advocate with the ILTWYL foundation as well as the mental Health foundation, WeAreAllALittleCrazy.org. While still battling these health issues, she competed in Miss Tennessee for America and used the platform to share her story. She won the Director's Choice Award and Community Service Award for how she gave back to the Lyme and mental health community while on bedrest through various platforms. Her heart is for people to find HOPE, STRENGTH, and to know their WORTH. She has been and still is determined to RISE... and in doing so... help others to do the same. She recently decided to go back into the entertainment industry to use her gifts and talents to inspire others and be a LIGHT for those that find themselves on a similar journey.
